Cardboard Backpack

I was challenged to craft a backpack using only cardboard, requiring it to be not just visually appealing but also structurally sound and functional. Inspired by Bottega Veneta's iconic weave pattern, I designed a backpack that seamlessly integrated this technique, eliminating the need for tape or glue. However, for aesthetic purposes, I chose to add tape to the final design. Despite its cardboard construction, the backpack could comfortably accommodate a laptop, charger, Coca-Cola can, and running shoes. In addition to the final product, I created detailed elevation drawings and sketches to illustrate the design process. The quality of my work was such that my professor chose to keep my backpack as a class example for future students, a testament to its innovative design and construction.
